Dr. Rick Lanford
North Central District Superintendent Dr. Rick Lanford’s vision is to see every United Methodist Church in the North Central District growing both spiritually and numerically as a direct result of discipleship.
Born and raised in a rural area south of Macon, Dr. Lanford has lived in South Georgia his entire life. Nurtured in the faith at Liberty and Riverside UMCs in Macon, he knew from an early age that God was working in his life.

Dr. Lanford has served churches in Macon and as the vice president of development and president of the Foundation of the Methodist Home for Children and Youth.
An avid quail hunter and fly fisherman, Dr. Lanford enjoys tying his own flies and spending time with his wife, Kim, their three daughters and two grandsons.
